Gun Buyers ClubLouisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents wrote 78 citations to 62 subjects for alleged dove hunting related violations during the opening weekend of the dove season, Sept. 7-8.

In Caddo Parish, agents issued four citations to three subjects for possessing over the limit of doves, and possessing untagged migratory game birds and hunting without a basic hunting license.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) cited a New Iberia man for alleged crab shipping violations on Aug. 31.

Agents cited, Lee Van Nguyen, 59, of New Iberia was issued citations for his involvement with illegal shipments of crabs across state lines.

The investigation, which spans two years, revealed that Nguyen shipped crabs out of state without the proper licenses 24 times. Louisiana law requires a person or dealer to obtain a crab shipping license...

Fish and Game is seeking information on a young female mountain lion that was shot and left on private property near Lake Hollow in the Medicine Lodge area.

“We know it was shot between 5 p.m. on Aug. 27 and 9 a.m. Aug 28,” says Officer Tim Klucken. “If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious in the area during that time I would love to hear from them.”

Gun Buyers ClubAfter receiving multiple tips from local anglers about possible over-fishing on Gladwin County’s Lake Lancer, Michigan Department of Natural Resources conservation officers spoke with the suspected man twice in one day while he was at the lake. The second contact of the day led to a voluntary search of the 67-year-old Gladwin man’s garage freezers, where officers discovered a significant number of panfish – ultimately issuing a ticket for illegally taking more than 1,400 panfish.
