JACKSON – The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) is cooperating with Responsive Management to collect game harvest information from the 2018 – 2019 hunting seasons. Responsive Management is a survey research firm specializing in natural resource and outdoor recreation issues and is based in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Company representatives will be conducting phone surveys of licensed hunters on behalf of MDWFP. The period for this survey covers hunting seasons from July 2018 to June 2019. A sample of participants will be randomly selected, so all license holders will not be surveyed.

This is a courtesy notice to inform recent hunting license holders that they may be contacted by Responsive Management to answer questions about game hunted and harvested. The survey has begun and will continue for about a week until an appropriate sample size is reached.

The information collected is used by MDWFP biologists to monitor trends in hunting participation and game populations. The MDWFP thanks cooperators in advance for their participation in the survey.
