USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- My name is Kent Danjanovich, and my wife, Sherie and I live in the small town of Santa Clara in the southwest corner of southern Utah.

The great outdoors is essential to all of us. Even for those that do not choose to hunt and fish, the opportunities that lay themselves out before each of us are indeed a blessing. And for those that do decide to partake of the harvesting side of things, well, it is even more special and important.

I have been involved in the outdoors all of my life. The fond memories that my childhood captured with my dad and brothers in the field and on the water have indeed molded my life, and now more than 50 years later, I am lucky to be part of the outdoor industry as co-owner of the Sportsman’s News, which as you know is the official monthly publication of Sportsman’s Warehouse.

Ten years ago, I was on assignment in Alaska at a fishing lodge. As fate would have it, I just happened to be paired up with Jon Leonard, the then president of the Utah Chapter of the NWTF, on a few adventures that week. By the end of the trip, a new chapter had been created for the southern part of Utah!

Now when it all began, I will have to admit I didn’t know what I was in for. I had been a supporter of just about every outdoor conservation group in the state, and I am for the most part still to this date. But, it didn’t take me long to figure out the National
