The Stafford Branch of the Ocean County Library will host its first “Meet the Mayor Night” on Monday, April 1, 6 p.m. Residents are invited to chat with Mayor Greg Myhre in an informal setting on a first-come, first serve basis. “I thought it would be a good way to meet people,” said Myhre, who was elected with a whole new council last November. “We’ll see how it goes. I might do it monthly, every two months or quarterly.” An operations manager for a computer network integration firm, Myhre holds a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Maryland. He has a graduate certificate in geospatial intelligency from Pennsylvania State University. He lives in the Ocean Acres section with his wife, Amber, and their three children, Gunnar, Annika and Aksel. A licensed Realtor, he is member of the National Rifle Association, NJ Second Amendment Society and the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine.
