Vice President Mike Pence is the 45th President of the United States.
Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) Vice President Mike Pence is making a return visit to Dallas next weekend. Pence will be the keynote speaker Friday, May 4th at the National Rifle Association’s annual convention which is expected to draw some 80,000 people to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Other big name speakers include Governor Greg Abbott, Senator John Cornyn and Senator Ted Cruz. An NRA executive says it’s an honor to have the Vice President speak because he’s a lifetime supporter of the second amendment and “has a long record of fighting to defend out freedoms.” Back in February, Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway criticized the convention, calling it inappropriate in the wake of the Parkland shooting and the gun violence across the country. The convention runs from May 3rd thru the 6th.
