Here is a solution for the gun problem we have here in the USA.
The talk from the NRA side is guns do not kill people, people do. We need more good people with guns is often said. If someone had a gun, there wouldn't have been so many deaths; arm our teachers. We all have a constitutional right in the 2nd Amendment. More guns, more guns, more guns is the answer from the NRA and supporters.
So ... here is the answer, guns are relatively inexpensive, so as soon as you turn 18, the government will issue everyone a gun (as per 2nd Amendment, right to bear arms) at no charge. Only to be taken away if you misuse it (example mass killing). The theory is there are a lot more good than bad so eventually it will work out. The good will prevail (Darwin), although it might get a little messy for a while.
Of course the guns would only be issued to legal citizens, leaving the undocumented without firearms (sort of a fringe benefit). Kind of fixes everything with one act.
