NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that it has awarded its highest Five-Star rating for range excellence to both of Shooters World’s[1] two new locations in central Florida. Shooters World’s new second location is located in The Villages, about a 90-minute drive north from Shooters World’s original location in Tampa, while its third new enterprise has its footprint in Orlando. Orlando entertained 78 million visitors in 2018 and was rated the No. 1 travel destination in the U.S, according to the Visit Orlando Tourism organization.

The 52,000-square-foot Villages location sports a total of 39 shooting lanes: 20 at 15 yards, 10 and 25 yards and nine 100-yard lanes. The two-story, 74,000-square-foot Orlando range has an impressive 58 lanes: 20 each at 15 and 25 yards and nine lanes each at 50 and 100 yards. At these two newest Shooters World locations, the 100-yard ranges are intended for rifle fire and can handle calibers up to .50 BMG.

Both new facilities offer a wide variety of personal and group instruction that run the gamut from basic safety and concealed carry to specialized classes such as defensive carbine and shotgun training, introduction to AR-15s and introduction to action shooting sports. A multi-tiered membership program was designed to meet the needs of every individual and budget, and Shooters World even offers a unique one-month trial membership that encourages new members to utilize the facility and realize its many benefits before committing to a full year.
