NRA National Police Shooting Championship

Greeley, PA (Ammoland.com) – Kahr Firearms Group, a leader in innovative firearms design and manufacturing, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the NRA National Police Shooting Championships on September 24-26 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Championships are open to public and private law enforcement members and select law enforcement members of the U.S. military, no invitation required. Everyone is welcome to come to the National Police Shooting Championships, whether attending for a day and shooting just one Championship match or shooting all Championship matches and attending the entire event. Attendees will compete against shooters in their own skill Classification level, or may shoot as an Unclassified Shooter if they have never fired in a NRA Police Pistol Combat Tournament or hold no PPC Classification.

The Championships program will consist of multiple competition matches including shotgun relays, semi-automatic pistol matches, duty rifle matches, revolver matches and off-duty sidearm matches. There are events for individuals and teams. In addition, Invitational Add-On Matches are offered to shooters as well. Practice Day and Zeroing Relays will take place on Sunday, Sept 23. There will also be sponsored training opportunities on Saturday, Sept 22.

As part of the National Police Shooting Championships program, the NRA will once again host the New Mexico Challenge for officers who work for New Mexico law enforcement agencies and have never fired in a PPC Match before, as well as for alumni shooters of the New Mexico Challenge from years past. This event exposes new shooters to the NRA Police Pistol Combat Program and gives them a chance to run through the Stock Service Match in a relaxed atmosphere and get shooting tips from experienced shooters. The Challenge will take place on Saturday, September 22, and it is a free event.
