Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited two men for alleged oyster violations in St. Bernard Parish on May 12.
Agents cited Tyler Campo, 30, of St. Bernard, and Joshua Anglada, 35, of Braithwaite, for taking oysters during a closed season on the state’s public seed ground. Campo was also cited for violating the state’s sanitation code for not completing his Department of Health logbook and failing to display proper numbers on his oyster vessel.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) are searching for an arsonist who set a fire that destroyed a recently completed boat access fishing pier at the Pointe-aux-Chenes Wildlife Management Area (PAC WMA).

Lander – A federal plea deal was reached recently in a Lacey Act case involving wildlife baiting. Michael and Teresa Rinehart, formerly of Kinnear, pled guilty in federal court in late 2021 and agreed to a plea deal for violations of the federal wildlife trafficking law.
