SALEM, Ore. – ODFW is accepting applications for landowner and hunter representatives on one of Access & Habitat’s Regional Councils. Please apply by Monday, May 7, 2018 to be considered.

Applicants should live or work in the region they want to represent (see map of regions). Duties of the position including participation in up to four public meetings each year in various communities in their region to review A&H project proposals and conduct other council business.

The open Council positions are:

South Willamette Regional Council: One landowner and one hunter representative needed.
Deschutes/Klamath Regional Council: Two landowner representatives one hunter representative needed.
Malheur Regional Council: One landowner representative needed.
Northeast Regional Council: Two hunter representatives and two landowner representatives needed.

Candidates for the landowner positions should have experience in forestry, agriculture or ranching but do not need to own land to qualify. Candidates interested in the hunter positions should have experience with hunting, wildlife habitat conservation and sporting groups. Applicants must be willing and able to work collaboratively with landowners, sportsmen’s groups, ODFW staff and other government agencies to facilitate the A&H Program.
